I started my options selling “side hustle” by selling calls against my AAPL shares. Quickly realized I hated it (don’t like rooting against the price to go up, holder since 2004 so taxes would kill me). Pivoted to selling puts instead utilizing margin backed by my AAPL shares. I still sell some covered calls here and there after a big run up and stay far OTM, although my $355s expiring next month will hopefully be tested!
